What's changing?
As of March 2, 2026, the following features will be temporarily unavailable for clients in Spain:
New deposits into stablecoin (USDC/USDT) Transaction accounts
USDC loan disbursements — new loans will only be disbursed in fiat (USD wire)
USDC trades on the Ledn platform
These changes do not affect your ability to apply for or manage Bitcoin-backed loans. Your existing balances are not affected.
Why is this happening?
Recent EU regulatory guidance requires us to limit certain stablecoin-related services in Spain. We are actively working on a solution to restore these features as quickly as possible.
How long will this last?
This is a temporary measure. We don't have a confirmed date for restoration yet, but we will notify you as soon as these features are available again.
I have an active loan. How do I make repayments?
You have two options:
Fiat repayment — repay via USD wire transfer as usual.
Collateral sale repayment — use a portion of your BTC collateral to repay your loan directly from the platform.
Both options remain fully available and unaffected by these changes.
Can I still withdraw stablecoins I already have in my Transaction account?
Yes. Existing stablecoin balances in your Transaction account can still be withdrawn. Only new deposits are affected.
Can I still get a new loan?
Yes. You can still apply for and receive Bitcoin-backed loans. The only change is that loan proceeds will be disbursed via fiat (USD wire) without an option for disbursement in USDC.
Will my existing stablecoin balances be affected?
No. Your existing balances will remain in your account and are not impacted by these changes.
