If you’ve lost access to your passkey, hardware key, or authenticator app (TOTP), Ledn can help you reset this authentication method to SMS. Follow the steps below to start the reset process.
If you have lost, damaged, or had a hardware key stolen, the right steps depend on whether you have other keys registered.
Contact Ledn Support to Request a Token 2FA Reset

Submit a Request for Token 2FA Reset:
Go to the Help Center and submit a request, specifying that you need a reset for your TOTP/ Token 2FA.
Our Client Success team will provide you with detailed instructions and any specific requirements needed to reset your Token 2FA.
Note: In some cases, you may be asked to participate in a security video call as an additional verification step to safeguard your account.

Re-enable Token 2FA After Reset (for Better Security):
Once your Token 2FA has been reset, we recommend you re-enable it to maintain high security for your account. Follow the steps outlined in the article Does Ledn Use Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)? What Is It? to configure Token 2FA again.
Important Considerations
Verification Process: To ensure your account security, Ledn may require additional verification steps as part of the 2FA reset process.
Increased Security with Token 2FA: Re-enabling Token 2FA is recommended as it offers enhanced protection against potential unauthorized access or SIM swap.
For Passkeys and Hardware Keys
If you have other registered keys:
You can still log in and manage your account normally using any of your other registered keys. Ledn recommends deleting the lost key from your account as soon as possible:
- Log in using a different registered key
- Navigate to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication
- Find the lost key in your key list and select Delete
- Confirm with your password and authenticate with a working key
You may also want to add a replacement key to maintain your backup coverage.
If you have lost all your registered keys:
If you no longer have access to any of your registered keys, you will not be able to log in or make changes to your account yourself. You will need to contact Ledn Support to begin the account recovery process.
Our support team will:
- Verify your identity before making any changes to your account
- Reset your 2FA to SMS once verification is complete
- Remove all registered hardware keys from your account
Once your account is recovered and SMS 2FA is active, you can log in and set up hardware keys again at any time by following the same registration process as any other client. No additional steps or approvals are required — navigate to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication and follow the setup flow.

Ledn's recommendation:
We recommend having at least 2–3 keys registered — store backup hardware keys in separate secure locations (e.g., a home safe, a trusted location). This ensures you are never locked out if one key is lost or damaged.
